Great opportunity for Engineering Internship!

We are looking for an intern to assist our plastics manufacturing team. Our interns work alongside seasoned and talented engineers to learn and provide meaningful contributions to our customers and business processes. Interns will have the chance to learn hands on skills outside of the class room with our engineering mentoring them to help them with their overall career goals. We are looking for Jr. or Sr. level engineering students.

You will assist in:

  • Attending quote kick off meetings to gather data for molding/tooling quotes.
  • Reviewing quote data and enter into quote work sheet.
  • Calculating molded plastic part weights using Pro-E or Solidworks from 3D models, manual calculations from 2D drawings or weighing parts for quoting purposes.
  • Calculating machine tonnage required for plastic injection mold.
  • Estimating packaging for plastic injected parts for quoting purposes.
  • Creating a tooling plan for plastic injection molded quotes (cavity counts, class of tooling).
  • Assembling quote in quote worksheet for PME to finalize.

Qualifications

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
