As a PMO Manager you will help in defining PMO Standards, mentor and oversee Project Managers in the delivery of profitable projects, ensure utilization of the ePlus Project methodology, participate in strategic Customer account planning and satisfaction, and assist in achieving area project profitability goals.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee, train, assist and develop the PMO staff
- Manage, coach, and mentor Project Managers in geographic area, as assigned
- Be available for Project escalations from customers, account executives, and management
- Ensure projects in assigned geographic area are done in accordance to, and within the ePlus PMO structure
- Provide support in customer-facing meetings during the presales and post sales phases
- Work with Sales and Service leadership teams to address Customer project issues to resolution
- Ensure area Projects are brought in on budget and on schedule
- Work with Service Management team in achieving ePlus financial objectives by forecasting project revenues on a monthly basis and analyzing variances; initiating corrective action where necessary
- Assist Sales in identifying and closing net-new or change order opportunities for ePlus
- Assist in building and helping to maintain Strategic Customer relationships
- Work with the VP National Services Support, helping to plan, define and implement PMO Standardization
- Generate, maintain, and inspect active project financial analysis reports that show health of projects
- Ensure Project Managers are doing a smooth hand off to the Managed Services team for onboarding purposes when applicable
- Follow ePlus’ performance review process to promote communication, provide useful feedback about job performance and contribute to an employee’s professional development

Job Knowledge/Skills:
- Proven history delivering large and small projects with hands-on project management responsibility
- Must be able to communicate with and earn confidence from senior-level executives
- Working understanding of business processes and operations
- Detailed knowledge of the operations of one or more business sectors of strategic interest to ePlus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly the ability to describe the business impact of technical solutions to non-technical clients
- Ability to work effectively in high-risk, high-pressure situations
- Ability to motivate engineering resources to out-perform and exceed client expectations
- Politically astute; able to recognize and work with political issues within client organizations
- Ability to collaborate with Sales and Service teams on Customer account strategies
- Recommends process improvement strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating project outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends seen; anticipating requirements through lessons learned documentation
Education and Experience:
- 10 years of technology project and project management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred
- Advanced technical degree a plus
- PMP, ITIL certifications a plus
Position Specifics:
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $90,000 and $135,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Physical Requirements of Position:
Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10 – 20 pounds of force occasionally and active work that could include climbing a ladder and using power tools.
