This position is responsible for ensuring safety and water quality at aquatic facilities; and recruiting, training and leading facility staff. Duties include instructing lifeguard certification classes; overseeing and performing all facets of pool operations and facility maintenance, such as monitoring large groups in aquatic facilities; planning and implementing staff training and instructing aquatic program classes; performing cashier and front desk duties; and maintaining an inventory of supplies and equipment, and facility records, such as bi-weekly payroll records. A high school diploma, or equivalent; two years of related experience as well as one year supervisory or lead experience; and American Red Cross (ARC)-issued Lifeguard, ARC-issued CPR / AED for Professional Rescuers, and ARC-issued First Aid certifications required. Must have, or be able to obtain, a valid Class C Texas driver’s license. Must also currently possess, or be able to obtain within six months from date of hire, Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certification, as well as ARC-issued Lifeguard Instructor certification. Water Safety Instructor certification is beneficial. Hours may include evenings and weekends and may vary by season. A résumé must be submitted with application.
