SUMMARY The Community Relations Hotline Operator will act as the first point of contact for neighboring communities calling the Community Hotline in response to the festival. They are responsible for gathering as much information from the caller as possible, as well as providing general information when requested by the caller. The incumbent is not expected to resolve community complaints but is expected to respond to inquiries and potential complaints in a calm, professional, and friendly manner. Nature of calls may include but are not limited to complaints about sound, traffic, loitering, and general information inquires. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer caller questions, log call information, offer email contact for direct correspondence with community relations manager, direct callers to website for more information depending on their inquiry.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by Management and Supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the business organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
PREFERENCES
- Customer service, festival, or special event experience
PAY SCALE: $18.50 REQUIRED AVAILABILITY PORTOLA FESTIVAL: Sat (9/30) and Sun (10/1) AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship.
