DESCRIPTION
This position involves the administrative services and business operations for health care clinics or centers, in accordance with federal, local, and internal standards, policies, and regulations. Typically includes operations, fiscal management, program planning, and / or external marketing activities. Management levels may include oversight of clinical patient care.
Spends the majority of time (50% or more) achieving organizational objectives through the coordinated achievements of subordinate staff. Establishes departmental goals and objectives, functions with autonomy. Manages the accountability and stewardship of human, financial, and often physical resources in compliance with departmental and organizational goals and objectives. Ensures subordinate supervisors and professionals adhere to defined internal controls.
Manages the operations of healthcare clinic(s) or center (s) to include fiscal, humanresources, and practice management operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the clinical and operational functions and staff. Recommends allocation of staff, space, equipment, and other resources to optimize the delivery of clinical services. Implements quality improvement systems. Ensures compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Manages reporting applications to ensure accuracy and proper documentation
- Research, develop, and recommend internal policies and procedures for identifying, eliminating or mitigating risk management issues within the practice(s).Implements and monitors the financial process for a comprehensive view of current and forecasted clinic performance, to include revenues, costs, industry trends, and reimbursements.
- Researches and prepares proposals for facilities expansion, satellite development, construction, space planning, capital equipment requests, and staffing needs.
- Implements processes and metrics to assure viability of existing programs, practice patient staffing patterns, and optimize productivity. Recommends operational performance improvements that impact marketability and service.
- Responsible for employee recruitment, performance evaluation, progressive discipline, and staff development. Works collaboratively with Labor Relations on bargaining unit issues and contract negotiations at the local level.
- Promotes a workplace culture with a focus on meeting or exceeding patient service standards. * * Develops an environment that encourages creativity, efficiency, engagement, quality of care, safety, and innovations in operations.
- Assures internal policies and external regulations are followed in regards to billing and coding practices and cash handling.
- Collaborates with hospital information services (EPIC, Radiant, Imaging Informatics)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor’s degree in related area plus seven (7) years of related experience/training including four (4+) or more years in healthcare operations.
- Experience and proven success in clinic/center management experience, with progressive expertise in practice management, scheduling, customer-service methods, incident reporting, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and information technology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Women’s Health Experience and Imaging
- Lean and Six-Sigma Certification.
- Master’s Degree in healthcare administration, public health, or business.

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $78,900 – $179,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $37.79 – $86.16
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
