This full-time Medical Pre-Registration Clerk will work from our centralized call center at our corporate office in Arcadia, CA.
Pay Range: $17/hour – $18.50/hour
Some of the duties include:
- Pre-register scheduled exams for complete documentation. Serves as a liaison between patient, referring physicians and medical support staff.
- Verifies necessary information and records in the patient file in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner for scheduled appointments.

- Clinical Documentations
- Check eligibility for valid insurance and for patient payment responsibility/ Estimate Status
- Maintains and stays current with the physicians and technologists schedules to ensure patients are scheduled correctly.
- Answers questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
- Oversees daily pre-registration worklist and reports problems and irregularities.
- Check email daily and stay current with correspondence as well as policy and procedures.
- Attends meetings as required.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs related work as required and any other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduation or GED
- One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office or imaging center setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology desirable
- Word processing and computer experience; PC proficient
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic medical terminology and computer skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
- High level of organizational skills, integrity, and accuracy.
- Must be a self-starter with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of insurance both Commercial and Managed Care
- Basic understanding of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
What Your Work Environment Is Like:
Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive contact with individuals and frequent interruptions. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Must be able to lift 15 pounds. Must be able to see in the normal visual range with or without correction. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods. Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
