We are looking for a Revenue Accounting Operations Analyst to join the global revenue accounting operation’s team specifically on Spotify’s global AR and billing, premium subscription operations and revenue close process!
What You’ll Do
- Complete month-end close procedures for premium subscriptions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuations analysis
- Complete accurate and timely reporting of the company’s financials in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control requirements
- Ensure achievement of key operational metrics
- Support the implementation of standard processes to scale our business and global revenue expansion
- Work closely with key business partners on policies, processes and programs, for example, Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, FP&A, Payment, Tax, & Technical Accounting teams
- Collaborate with IT/Engineering and key business owners to help drive key system initiatives and process improvements
- Partner with shared service center team and help run daily activities
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- CPA or CA preferred
- Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience within the areas of revenue, accounts receivable, deferred revenue and cash management
- Strategic thinker and problem solver with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans
- Strong Excel skills, and become comfortable with very large data sets
- Experience with major ERP system (NetSuite)
- Experience with SQL and BigQuery preferred
- Hybrid role based in our New York offices (2 to 3 days a week required)

The United States base range for this position is $59,053 – $84,362, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
