We are currently hiring an Engineering Excellence Program Manager to join our Corporate Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity that will allow someone the opportunity to accelerate growth of Trane Technologies by developing and improving processes, tools, execution and expertise within the Engineering organization. The role will partner with the Engineering and Technology Leadership Team and SBU PMO Leaders, to mature Engineering project execution, with an emphasis on project management and product development processes; will also help lead, develop, deploy and continuously improve standard work in the company wide Business Operating System (BOS). This position is eligible for a Hybrid work schedule and will be based out of our Davidson, NC location.
Responsibilities:
- Steer the development, deployment, change management, continuous improvement and communication of Engineering Standard work in the Business Operating System (BOS) including NPD, Productivity, NTP, ETO and Agile processes.
- Support Engineering Excellence and Business Transformation priorities, including Engineering operational excellence goals.
- Utilize internal and external partners to develop and deploy training and certification pathways related to Engineering and Project Management.
- Create partnerships and networks to identify, lead or support and measure continuous improvement initiatives within Engineering and Project Management capabilities across the Enterprise.
- Actively participate, lead and deliver projects within established quality, delivery and cost performance metrics. Simplification, Speed and Alignment of Metrics.
- Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with each SBU to drive common processes and tools required to deliver engineering operations excellence.
- Cross-functional and multi-level communication capabilities to define, prioritize and enable resource planning and talent development.
- Courage to raise issues to upper management when program is at risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another related technical field is required
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a relevant project management/ engineering/ operations role is required.
- PMP / PMI Certification is preferred
- Experience in leading projects from commercialization to manufacturing launch is required.
- Experience in driving Enterprise-wide strategic initiatives/ programs is a plus.
- Any Agile/ Lean related certification is a plus.
- Certified in MS Project Pro or Microsoft Project expertise is preferred
- Project management experience required; must have led, delivered and managed product development projects in a waterfall / lean environment.
- Expert understanding of the waterfall or stage – gate process for project execution.
- Experience working across varying teams, disciplines, and geographic regions desired.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate cross-functionally.
- Individual should be analytical, flexible, team-oriented, strong attention to details and ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated change management, agile mindset, exceptional interpersonal skills, team management and effective communication with multiple stakeholders.

Base Pay Range: $88,500 to $184,000.
Additional Compensation: Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
