About the position:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced Principal Data Architect Consultant specializing in Snowflake products to join our team and lead the design and implementation of data solutions using Snowflake’s cloud-based data warehousing platform.
As a Principal Data Architecture Consultant, you will be responsible for defining data architectures, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our clients Snowflake data warehouse. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with the clients business objectives.
The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of Snowflake’s architecture, extensive experience in data modeling, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex data solutions. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive data architectures for our clients using Snowflake products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth
- Design data models, schema structures, and metadata definitions within Snowflake products to support efficient data storage and retrieval
- Lead data integration efforts, including ETL processes and data pipelines, to ensure seamless data flow and transformation into Snowflake
- Implement robust security measures, access controls, and compliance standards within Snowflake, and ensure data privacy and regulatory requirements are met
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data needs and provide actionable insights
- Serve as a subject matter expert on general data architecture as well as Snowflake products, providing strategic guidance and consulting services to clients or internal teams to drive data-driven decision-making
- Analyze complex data challenges and propose innovative solutions while adapting to evolving business needs
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of Snowflake architecture, data models, and processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and team collaboration
- Mentor and coach junior team members in Snowflake best practices and data architecture principles
Competencies we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- SnowPro Advanced: Data Engineering Certification required
- 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing data architectures
- 4+ years of experience in the consulting/professional services space
- Proficiency in Snowflake data warehousing platform, including data modeling, performance optimization, and security configurations
- Proven ability to develop and manage ETL processes and data pipelines for seamless data integration into Snowflake
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and team members
- A consulting mindset with the ability to understand client requirements, build relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that meet their specific needs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies in the dynamic data architecture landscape
- Collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Leadership qualities to guide and inspire team members and stakeholders in achieving goals
- Commitment to ongoing learning and staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in data architecture and Snowflake

$135,000 – $160,000 a year
