Principal PM Manager – CTJ – TS/SCI

We are looking for an experienced, energetic, hands-on and business minded Principal PM Manager to join our team solving complex security and systems focused problems in the sovereign cloud security space. Our focus is understanding customer usage patterns, increasing product adoption, and ensuring service delivery which meets customer requirements. Your team will work closely with customers, engineering teams, customer experience teams and will collaborate with key stakeholders across Microsoft to execute our business strategy. Effective collaboration skills will be required as your work closely with these teams to ensure services meet the expectations of internal and external customers. You will be required to provide technical leadership and nurture a learn-it-all, curious and data-driven culture.

Success in this position utilizes a broad set of experiences and skills, including excellence in core product management, communication, and leadership skills. Customer empathy and the ability to adapt to rapid changes will come in handy. Fostering a positive working relationship with both local and remote teams is a must and cloud services experience are also valuable.

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.

Other Requirements:

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
  • The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government TS/SCI Clearance (Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information) and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph. Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate U.S. Government clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology requirements.
  • Excellent cross-organizational collaboration and relationship building skills with partners including the ability to leverage technology and expertise across groups and platforms to drive clarity and alignment.

Product Management M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 – $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 – $282,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and grow a team of Product Managers focused on delivering security products into Sovereign Clouds.
  • Define the core priorities and vision across security products.
  • Effective collaboration skills will be required to work closely with engineering and other corporate teams to coordinate, prioritize, and understand business needs and customer requirements.
  • Work directly with our customers on critical security initiatives.
