Capacity team part of SCOT builds fulfillment capacity plans for Amazon’s Global Supply Chain. We build products, services and engineering solutions around forecasting and economic optimization using advanced statistics, machine learning, operations research to improve our forecast accuracy while tackling shifts in customer demand patterns and global Supply Chain disruptions.

The team is on a strong growth trajectory and we are looking to hire high-caliber Principal Product Manager to build and scale the next generation of Capacity and topology planning products across NA, EU, Japan, India, and 12 emerging markets.

In this role, from Day 1, you will be given ownership of large technical products; the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions; and the ability to drive significant impact on Amazon’s fulfillment capacity and build decisions at a global scale. You will interface with a broad spectrum of teams including Topline Forecasting, Inventory Prediction & Estimation (IPE), Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), Finance, Retail business teams, and country specific Supply Chain and Execution and finance teams. This role will lead products that supports capacity and topology planning by forecasting fulfilment center (FC) throughput and storage cube required over the next two to five years (aka cube plan) and enabling economic optimal FC capacity decisions. Specifically, your products answer how much capacity to build, what kind, when, and where to build it. These products also enable strategic decision making on allocation of available capacity among business entities: Retail and FBA. Besides developing and operating these products, you will also provide business support to interpret and analyze the outputs as well as successfully engage with the senior leadership in shaping key decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with end to end product delivery

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience as a product manager or owner

– 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
