We are looking for a Principal Product Management Manager to lead our Sovereign Cloud Operation & Process Excellence team to deliver the full M365 value to our US Government and Sovereign customers by ensuring operations are symmetrical across regions, enabling us to uphold our customer promises of availability and quality. This is a unique opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys creating clarity from the ambiguous and helping others navigate through a fast-paced and ever-evolving engineering landscape. You will be responsible to lead a cross-functional group of Product Managers, identify and/or respond to specific requests that address un-met needs across our US Government and Sovereign-based production operations teams. You will actively seek information and test assumptions, navigate within a highly matrixed environment, determine measures of success for operations, and lead others in scoping problems by identifying key issues, inputs, stakeholders, and outcomes.
You will have a track record of people development and product development and/or delivery across in a highly matrixed ecosystem. You will develop team culture, grounding in Microsoft’s mission and values, seeking to attract, develop, and retain employees while making positive improvements toward our diversity and inclusion goals. You will drive and coach teams to define business impact across the organization and track success for multiple program areas across divisions.We’re looking for an individual to tenaciously pursue outcomes while influencing senior executives with comprehensive analysis of options to consider.
You will provide strategic insights and leadership to help teams scale to meet the evolving demands of our US Government and Sovereign Cloud businesses and ensure teams engage partners to garner support for those program areas. You will be expected to develop and manage various cross-Microsoft v-teams to deliver customer-segment specific solutions and provide leadership and set strategy for response to relevant customer feedback from this customer segment. We’re looking for an individual who can work independently to drive large, complex programs and solutions, and drive results across multiple organizations via strong cross-group collaboration skills. You will drive business & technical conversations with development managers and partners.

- Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years’ experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Product Management M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 – $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 – $282,200 per year.
