This position is available for candidates either in the Bay Area (Santa Clara) or Seattle. This product management position will be focused on defining and taking to market an externally facing networking monitoring service. AWS Network Services has a vision to provide the network for the world’s workloads. By joining the Network Availability Engineering team, you will be a part of supplying the best and most consistent high-performance for the broadest set of feature-rich applications. You will be at the forefront of securely delivering customer applications and content, anywhere in the world. AWS Network Services needs an experienced innovator in our AWS Networking organization to help us define product strategy and accelerate adoption of our services in the cloud. Specifically, this individual will work closely with customers and AWS engineering teams and own the full life-cycle product management responsibilities for a network monitoring service.
This will be an external service that will be monetized with customers across all segments. We are looking for a leader with strong technical and communication skills to drive product management across our offerings. This is a high-visibility and high-impact role that will interact with all levels of AWS leadership. The role requires a customer-centric approach where you’ll need to respond with a sense of urgency using your technical and business judgement and effectively communicate with leaders and peers.
As a Principal Product Manager – Technical for External Services (PMT-ES) you will be responsible for:
– Managing the lifecycle of a technology service product (SaaS, PaaS, or LaaS) used by external engineers and/or IT professionals.
– Planning, executing and delivering an externally-facing service, which have a significant impact on the performance of your customers’ technologies.
– Working closely with and across Agile teams.
– Lead go-to-market activities including pricing, packaging, co-authoring blogs, enabling technical field community to be advocates of the service, presenting at AWS Summits including AWS re:Invent, and competitive analysis

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
– 5+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
– 6+ years of experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Cloud services concept to GTM.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $281,800/year in our highest geographic market.
