Principal Product Manager, Technical – Ads New Product Launches, ACTS, Advertising

We seek product leaders who can think big, deal with ambiguity and innovate on behalf of the customers. In this role, you will draw upon your understanding of digital advertising, technical product and business expertise to define and rapidly execute on cross-functional products, in partnership with business and engineering leaders across Amazon, Advertising and consumer organizations. You will bring great customer focus, the ability to rapidly prioritize and get things done.

Job Responsibilities:

– Own the product strategy and roadmap to deliver a test and learn plan that allows us to quickly optimize product-market fit

– Own key metrics and drive continuous improvement by working closely with sales, engineering and other stakeholders across Amazon

– Serve as the primary interface for partner teams, influencing their roadmaps and assuring we deliver the highest value for our advertisers

– Balance business needs vs. technical constraints while driving clarity in ambiguous situations

– Provide thought leadership, generate customer insights, and track competitive landscape and industry trends to define and deliver product refinements to keep Amazon in the forefront of the online ads industry in Brand Advertising.

Key job responsibilities

The PPM-T will need to unify various individual teams’ plans into a holistic solution for our advertisers, and be able to quickly evaluate various alternative approaches to executing against the larger vision. The PPM-T will need to be data driven, focused on outcomes, and, at the same time, be comfortable managing technical requirements across multiple engineering teams. This role requires high velocity decision-making, a strong bias for action, the ability to influence broadly and a comfort with ambiguity.

A day in the life

The PPM-T, Ads Accelerate, will be working on delivering multiple features simultaneously, updating our business model and roadmap with real time test data and customer feedback, and assuring we are prioritizing and investing in the right value for our advertisers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

– Experience technical product management

– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

– Experience leading cross-organizational programs and setting and holding teams and individuals to timelines and deliverables without explicit authority

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
