Would you like to be part of a fast-growing fin-tech payments ecosystem at Amazon? Amazon Pay team looking for a Principal Product Manager to re-define Amazon Pay’s check-out experience. A good checkout experience is arguably the most important aspect for a good payment experience for our buyers. As a Principal PM, you will drive the overall vision, product strategy, product roadmap, gain leadership buy-in and streamline our current features to optimize for good buyer experience and conversion. You will closely collaborate with technology teams across Amazon Payments and will opine on how to improve the tech stack for check-out. You’ll need to operate with a high level of autonomy, operate analytically, working backwards from data and customer insights to build innovative solutions to unsolved problems. As a product leader, you’ll need to have a proven track record of creating a strong vision and roadmap and successfully delivering results.
Key job responsibilities
1. Own the vision for APAY check-out and strategy for all aspects of checkout including sing-in, authentication, APAY button render to click, low friction payment experience, post-order and engineering performance metrics to drive improved conversion.
2. Partner effectively with other leaders in product, program, design, marketing, engineering, science and business intelligence to influence priorities across Amazon Pay, Prime and external fintech companies.
3. Leverage synergies from internal Amazon identity, payments and checkout teams to bring the best features to Amazon Pay.
4. Maintain excellent judgment on prioritization between focusing features, architectural improvements and operational excellence.
5. Monitor project execution and ensure that the project delivery is to the appropriate levels of quality and in line with target dates.
6. Write and present documents, working backwards from customer and partner needs, independently to Amazon Payments Leadership Teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience technical product management
– Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
– Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
– Experience with end to end product delivery
– Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
– Demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly digital services and customer-facing features.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
– Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
– Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
