Amazon Flex crowdsources independent contractors – called Delivery Partners (DPs) – to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss delivering Amazon packages. Flex WW Safety Team is looking for a Principal Program Manager to drive end-to-end improvements and automation in our safety and property damage reporting pipelines. The individual will work across organization to establish requirements where they don’t currently exist, drive cross-functional process changes, and facilitate leadership alignment when needed, to deliver granular safety insights and raise the bar on safety performance.
Key job responsibilities
Own goals to close gaps and standardize the incident intake and reporting process for Flex WW. Ensure the proposed solutions meet the Flex team’s high bar for driver safety, as well as automation and customization requirements to support our dynamic business.
Own the implementation of new KPIs, processes and tools that help standardize incident reporting.
Write business requirement and continuous improvement documents that communicate recommendations for safety incident data aggregation.
Work cross-functionally to standardize metrics and benchmark performance across transporter types and industry standards.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 7+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with tools/systems to analyze data including Excel, Access, SQL or other data management systems
- Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery
- Experience in safety especially at Independent Contractor (IC) industries

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $111,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
