We areseeking a Principal Researcher-AI to join our team and contribute to the advancement of Large Language Models (LLMs) technology.As an Principal Researcher-AI, you will play a crucial role in developing, improving, and exploring the capabilities of LLMs to solve complex problems across various domains. Your work will have a significant impact on the development of cutting-edge technologies, advancing the state-of-the- art in artificial intelligenceand providing practical solutions to real-world problems.
Our ongoing research areas encompass but are not limited to:
- Alignment and Post-training: e.g., Instruction tuning and reinforcement learning from feedback
- Continual Learning: Enabling LLMs to evolve and adapt over time and learn from previous experiences human interactions
- Specialization: Tailoring LLMs to meet application-specific requirements
- Orchestration and multi-agent systems: automated orchestration between multiple agents incorporating human feedback and oversight

Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in relevant field AND 3+ years related research experience
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in relevant field AND 5+ years related research experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor in the field of Artificial Intelligence
- Experience participating in a top conference in relevant research domain.
- Demonstrable ability to define an ambitious, original research agenda
- Ability to collaborate effectively, and technically lead multi-disciplinary team.
- Keen interest in real-world applications and impact.
Research Sciences IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 – $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 – $282,200 per year.
