Amazon is looking for a product leader to help drive our discovery strategy for Amazon’s trove of knowledge.
Key job responsibilities
* Develop product vision and strategy by working backwards from the customer and define/drive overall product strategies and roadmaps. Communicate this vision to senior leadership for buy-in.
* Develop product requirements and partner with operations and engineering to deliver them.
* Define the success metrics for features or services and track performance. Utilize metrics to deep-dive issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns.
* Define and execute project plans, assembling resources and developing processes associated with product rollout and ongoing support.
* Manage products through initial launch and follow-on releases, identifying dependencies and clearing blockers.
* Write business cases and produce financial models for key strategic projects.
* Report on our progress in weekly and monthly business reviews.
A day in the life
As part of the Knowledge Tech team, you will be responsible for creating and executing on a vision that puts critical information at builders’ fingertips. You will manage the roadmap for four distinctive products and influence the direction of dozens more.
The right candidate will possess a strong product and program management background, have experience leading large tech products and projects in the search domain, and excel at written and verbal communications. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and are not hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means anticipating bottlenecks, making trade-offs and balancing the needs of the business versus technical constraints. You will be expected to have strong opinions about design and user experience, as well as the analytic background necessary to track adoption and performance of your program.
You will drive prioritization across multiple development teams, communication with internal stakeholders, user testing with customers and the adoption plan with sales. You are an evangelist, promoting new features to customers, and defining success metrics while simultaneously ensuring controllership and the highest quality standards for the products that you support.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree
– 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with end to end product delivery
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and effectively influence across cross-functional teams
– Experience interpreting and communicating analytics
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
– Experience working with enterprise search services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
