Principal Security Technical Program Manager, Physical Stores Security

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Security Strategy and Leadership:

o Develop and champion a holistic security strategy that aligns with business objectives and prioritizes customer experience enhancement.

o Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate the strategic importance of security in delivering exceptional customer experiences.

o Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

o Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and customer experience teams to integrate security measures seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.

o Serve as a trusted advisor, educating teams on security best practices while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment that balances security requirements with user needs.
• Customer-Centric Security Initiatives:

o Identify opportunities to enhance customer experiences through security measures, such as frictionless authentication methods and transparent privacy features.

o Drive initiatives that improve user trust, such as clear communication of security measures, data protection practices, and incident response plans.

o Champion the implementation of cutting-edge security technologies that not only protect customers but also enhance their interactions with our products and services.
• Risk Management and Compliance:

o Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure security measures adhere to relevant regulations and standards, while minimizing impact on customer experiences.

o Assess and manage security risks, proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities and designing mitigation strategies that align with business goals.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

o Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage advancements in security to create innovative customer experiences.

o Lead the evaluation and adoption of new tools, techniques, and methodologies that enhance security while maintaining seamless customer interactions.

A day in the life

You will own and contribute to studies that evaluate the customer experience of executing use cases on security issue management services, as well as technology/industry trends and the voice of the customer. You will join an expanding team, leverage your technical and domain skills, and apply a variety of methodologies to drive these studies. You will collaborate with product teams and senior leaders to provide insights and drive improvements that help us achieve our vision to be Earth’s Most Customer-Centric Company.

Physical Retail Stores Security (PRS-Sec) is dedicated to the identification and mitigation of information security risks across all banners of Worldwide Grocery Stores . This includes Amazon Fresh , Whole Foods Market , Amazon Go, and other Amazon physical locations (e.g., Style, Amazon Kitchen). We are committed to ensure the security and integrity of our retail environment and the need to go to understand and manage highest security risk areas of the business.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

– 7+ years of technical program management experience

– 5+ years of software development experience

– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 10+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
