Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Perform systems management and integration functions. Provide guidance to internal service engineers that build the critical products and services on which Microsoft runs. Prioritize and implement automation and tooling solutions to ensure consistent processes are performed with a higher level of accuracy and reduced defects. Drive continuous improvement into the service, process, and technology through analysis and solution design. Serve as subject matter expert and advise on technical response during critical incidents. Ensure operational performance and establish best practices to improve communication, speed in triage, and efficiency in response. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience: 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in providing technical software support.
- Specific Skills: Experience must include 24 months of experience in each of the following: Azure capacity provisioning and de-provisioning; Azure Services; Managing software or business processes for operations, systems, projects, tools or policies; Service Delivery, automation (PowerShell) and optimization; Project Level Planning in Estimating Resources, Risk and Quality Assessment; Project Management; and Reporting.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (V2388557.a), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $202,451 to $232,451 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
