Job Summary
We are looking for a Principal Site Manager to join our Charles River Accelerator & Development Labs team in Philadelphia, PA.

In the Principal Site Manager role, you will oversee and manage all aspects of a Charles River Accelerator & Development Lab (CRADL) facility and site staff. You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on financial performance, including site occupancy levels, facility expenses, capital planning, and budget.

What you will do!
In the Principal Site Manager role, you have the responsibility of overseeing and managing the daily activities of the Facility Supervisor, ensuring all staff involved in husbandry and study support/technical services meet both organizational standards and client expectations. You will assist in setting organizational goals and monitor major project milestones. By analyzing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data from the site, you identify, propose, and justify facility or process improvements.
As the Principal Site Manager, you will support key clients and contribute to sales efforts by presenting the site’s capabilities and providing tours to potential clients. You actively participate in projecting the requirements for equipment, supplies, and personnel needed to operate the research facilities effectively, in line with relevant regulations. Additionally, you will conduct facility inspections across all spaces to ensure top-notch performance aligned with client/organizational objectives. This includes upholding standards related to animal health and welfare, facility condition, sanitation levels, environmental parameters, and security.
Job Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
A candidate that possesses an bachelor’s degree or equivalent in animal, laboratory or life science field preferred. A minimum of five (5) years in a laboratory animal facility of which three (3) years is management or supervisor experience required. AALAS certification is a plus. An equivalent combination of education, experience, and certifications may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
The pay range for this position is $112-125K USD annually. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
