Our EdTech team works with ISV businesses delivering innovative software solutions to the Education market. We are looking for a Principal Strategic Account Manager to help manage one of the largest EdTech companies in the world. You will be responsible for establishing and fostering cross-functional executive relationships, and developing business-relevant technology and commercial partnering opportunities across multiple business units within this account. The ideal candidate has a track record for overachieving quota while working backwards from and delivering on customer needs. This individual should possess both a business and technical background that enables them to drive successful, repeatable engagement at the CXO level, multiple lines of business (IT, Finance, Product, Sales, etc), as well as with software developers, engineers, and IT architects.
Key job responsibilities
The Strategic Account Manager will be a key member of the team responsible for providing business leadership and creative direction for this highly visible customer
You will build and maintain broad relationships in the account, develop and manage opportunities, and lead a large team of extended resources to deliver results on behalf of the customer and the business
You will define an exec relationship strategy within the account, including building a strong working relationship with the AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorship, business reviews, and shaping strategic technology and commercial partnering opportunities

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in business or technology or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 8+ years experience working at a technology company as the account and relationship manager of Enterprise accounts with a demonstrated history of success.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to develop deep relationships with executive business and technical stakeholders with the client.
High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
Experience and relationships in the Education and/or EdTech industry
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
Experience as the primary account manager working with enterprise customers selling across multiple business units and influencing governance and policy.
Experience in large, complex deal negotiations with a successful track record
Ability to serve as a trusted advisor across AWS and the customer
Ability to quickly establish trust and credibility with senior level executives across the organizations.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills are required. Candidate possesses demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills.
A strong understanding of AWS and/or technology as a service (Iaas,SaaS,PaaS) would be preferred but not required.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $252,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
