Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Technical Program Manager (PTPM) for Catalog AI, you will help our team develop and execute a strategy for building product knowledge leveraging Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI technologies to improve amazon experiences WW. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of product managers, engineers, scientists, operations on fine tuning LLM , scaling them to enrich planet scale catalog and developing quality guardrails using innovative ML techniques. The impact of this role spans across multiple organizations, and you will be required to influence without authority. We are getting started on solving new problems, so you should be comfortable in navigating through large scale ambiguities that await you in this role. You will work with senior leadership, business stakeholders, science and engineering teams to develop and execute on our roadmap.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 7+ years of technical program management experience
– 5+ years of software development experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience building data and science products that handle large volumes of data working directly with science teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
