The Digital Acceleration (DA) team is recruiting for a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) to work on its core offers spanning Subscriptions, Ordering, Marketing, Royalties, Bundling, Financial Record Keeping, Pricing and Catalog to drive program and project execution across Amazon’s Digital businesses.
As a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) on the Digital Acceleration team, you will enable transparency and decision-making across the Amazon’s Digital space by providing critical communication and clear status of the initiatives you own. Working closely with and across agile teams, you will have a measurable impact on all of our customers. You will work directly with DA leadership, managers, fellow TPMs as well as developers and customers to solve challenging problems by delivering critical programs and projects. You will make data-driven decisions and prioritize how and when to build features and work with leadership across DA to evangelize your initiatives.
The right candidate for this role is someone who has both a strong technical background, and either technical management or program/product management background. You must be comfortable driving operational programs and large complex product delivery. You must have a diverse set of unblocking tools and mechanisms, resulting in an ability to cultivate relationships and earn trust with teams both inside and outside of your overall organization. You must be able to thrive in both start-up and more mature business environments and be willing to not only operate strategically, but be willing to roll up your sleeves to get the job done yourself.
A Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) will partner with engineers, other TPMs, Product Managers and senior management to help create world-class solutions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
