Key job responsibilities
– Translate customer’s business requirements into technical/functional specifications for the engineers
– Ascertain the true requirements underlying feature requests; recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines
– Ensure success in project delivery
– Drive data related initiatives to improve the customer experience, and improve the operation / efficiency of our software
– Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the Amazon product environment
– Capture, share and leverage your best practice knowledge across a broad group of engineers
– Partner as a technical liaison between customers and engineering teams
– Create content such as whitepapers and other written deliverables
About the team
We own building, launching, and commercializing innovative ad products in-store and do not shy away from technical challenges. Our team is responsible for full-stack implementation and integration of a core android application and backend services/infrastructure which power the ad content, targeting, and impression reporting across our advertising network with physical stores. We utilize the latest in cloud technology to build out products supporting custom experiences, using custom hardware and android operating systems. We are also experimenting in new areas, leveraging computer vision, machine learning, and big data, to provide unique experiences for physical store/online shoppers and advertisers alike.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 7+ years of technical program management experience
– 5+ years of software development experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
