Prime Air is seeking an experienced Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a strong, results-oriented focus, to drive the delivery of impactful software programs powering the future of autonomous drones at Prime Air.
To be successful, you must combine superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with senior leadership of top-notch development teams and collaborating with our software engineering, hardware design, and integration/test teams. We’re looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. Cross-team coordination, project management, and executive presentation skills are essential.
Key job responsibilities
– Partner with software engineering leadership to ensure ongoing software development meets program needs
– Mentor and potentially manage other TPMs to ensure correct program management coverage throughout organization
– Use metrics to inform our product roadmap and priorities
– Manage the constraints of integrating with the Drone landing areas and the Drone itself to enable scaling
– Partner with key stakeholders to understand needs and deliverables across all organizations within Prime Air
– Present a unified view of program status of a 5-7 team organization to senior leadership weekly
Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 4+ years of software development experience
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience working within a regulatory aerospace framework (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, DO-279)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
