Amazon Compute Technologies (ACT) builds innovative managed compute and networking solutions that empower Amazon Software Engineers to build and operate services for Amazon’s customers that are secure, highly available, and easy to scale. We identify and support the foundational infrastructure capabilities, tools, and datasets needed to support rapid global expansion of Amazon’s SOA infrastructure, built on top of AWS technologies. As a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM), Region Flexibility Programs, you will represent our Amazon Retail-Wide division, responsible for leading a global expansion engineering program which will enable Amazon businesses to leverage new AWS regions and improve the efficiency and scale of our business. The end-state architecture will enable services to break region coupling while retaining the ability to keep critical business functions within a region. This architecture will improve customer latency through local affinity to compute resources and reduce the blast radius in case of region failures.
We are looking for a passionate, deeply technical, and results-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to define and drive Region Flexibility program, and drive fundamental architectural changes across the whole Amazon software stack. You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with multi-year roadmap, using Agile and incremental delivery methods. You will have experience driving architectural change across thousands of teams and handled communication from technical developers to senior VPs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experienced managing broad architecture change programs across large number of engineering teams and organizations
- Deep technical understanding of AWS technologies and networking in distributed cloud architectures

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
