Amazon Consumer Logistics Security (CLS) is hiring a Principal Technical Program Manager to support our program. In this role and as part of this team, you will develop and execute cybersecurity strategy globally across our Consumer Logistics businesses. Bringing together teams across the company to work jointly on improving our cybersecurity capabilities will be key to this role.

As a Principal TPM with our team, you will influence how CLS operates and works with business owners, partners, and customers to determine the most important new programs to initiate and the best way to execute them. You will define and deliver programs that ensure security work is well scoped, vetted for clarity and purpose, well-supported, and effectively communicated to our stakeholders. You will deliver well-crafted outward and upward communication, and influence roadmaps, priorities, and deliverables across multiple teams. You will foster strong relationships with our business unit leads, identify and address security related threats, and serve as a trusted cybersecurity advisor for our key business stakeholders. You will raise the bar for engineering excellence by assessing, and driving improvement, and automation of existing processes, mechanisms, and tools. You will obsess on the customer experience, driving improvement in our security products and services to meet the needs of our businesses and customers and to reduce cyber risk. You will drive a goal oriented culture, ensuring alignment of priorities matches well documented goals for large-scale security work.

In this role, you will be in a creative, collaborative environment where your ability to advocate, persuade, and influence will be important for your programs to succeed. You should not be deterred by ambiguity or competing priorities. We’ll be looking to you for leadership when it comes to developing mitigation efforts for long-term risk, and we’ll also need you to roll up your sleeves, dig in, and get the job done when it’s necessary. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation to management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Your ability to remove ambiguity, manage dependencies, communicate effectively, and dive deep into technical and process details is essential. You can balance think big with realism and deliver on ambitious but achievable plans while communicating to executive audiences. Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent and leadership are essential to success in this role and we will look to you to make sure we keep raising the bar for ourselves and our businesses.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of technical product or program management experience

– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

– 10+ years of professional experience in information security

– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, related field, or an equivalent in relevant work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

– Relevant industry certifications which demonstrate intimate familiarity with the cybersecurity (e.g. CISSP, GMON, GDAT, GCIH, GCFA, GREM, OSCP, etc.)

– Expertise in tools and techniques for analyzing large sets of data * Experience developing software automation solutions

– Proficiency in one or more high-level coding or scripting language

– Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Security or MBA *

– Knowledge and prior use of AWS services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
