The world is building on AWS, from the Fortune 100 to thousands of startups. AWS Commerce processes a billion dollars of transactions per week, and highly-skilled knowledge workers from financial analysts to IT managers turn to us every day to understand and forecast their spending. We’re looking for an accomplished, strategic designer to inventory and map out the user journeys of our enterprise customers, the product managers who launch services for them, and the sales teams who help them plan their cloud spend. You will go deep in research and service design: understanding customer jobs-to-be-done, desired outcomes, and pain points, then rank desired outcomes and build to-be service maps that cross products to create a cohesive experience. You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders to make strategic investments and drive execution that improves customers’ desired outcomes. You’ll work with other UX designers to create concrete wins in the parts of the journey with the highest potential ROI (as measured by outcome opportunity).
You are self-driven and action-oriented because you know that if you can help customers more efficiently allocate the $60B/year and growing that they trust to AWS, then you can quite literally make the world a better place. Ideally, you have some prior experience studying enterprise budgets and the associated goals and tradeoffs. You clarify the big picture for a broad set of stakeholders while also highlighting the best point opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of design experience
– Have an available online portfolio
– Experience with best practices for User Interface Design, Information Architecture, and Interaction Design
– Experience in life cycle design projects from design strategy through execution
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience providing and effectively communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data
– Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, Keynote, and InVision

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $131,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $244,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
