What will you do?

We’re hiring a Principle Program Manager with 1-2 direct reports who will own Pricing strategy for our new US business, include rate structure, list rates, discounts, and potential fees. We believe that Pricing can be a core differentiator for our market segment and we need you to benchmark industry, determine price positioning, establish goals, then drive continuous process improvement to track towards those goals. You’ll also be a key partner to determine pricing strategy for all new business lines as well as other seasonal events. You will work closely with senior leadership across product, commercial, and operations to hone your vision, and work alongside your direct reports and our product and science teams to bring these ideas to market.

You should have a hands-on approach, operational inclination, solid leadership skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide stakeholder group to generate creative solutions to industry-level strategic problems. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership, you need to be comfortable communicating at that level while also working directly with various functional teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, resourceful, customer-focused and team oriented, with clear communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You are highly autonomous and have a proven track record of taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Key job responsibilities

In-region leader (whether Product or Program)
• Regional benchmarking, price positioning, profit analysis leading to overall rate structure and pricing strategy vision
• New demand opportunity assessment/pricing strategy
• Metric creation, program performance (generally via Pricing-specific monthly and quarterly business reviews)
• Global business level Pricing narrative for your region (monthly and quarterly business reviews, 3 year planning)
• In region SOPs, training, audit, inspection, process improvement
• New product go-to-market support or ownership for in-region launches
• Collaborate deeply with science/product for development vision and roadmap prioritization
• Can hybrid into Product role to generate regional requirements for software/science development

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– Bachelor’s degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

– Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

– Experience working with, presenting to and influencing senior executives up to VP level

– MBA

– Managing Pricing strategy, including industry benchmarking, investor research, conjoint analysis, and product positioning

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
