Job Summary:
Supports the organization’s Privacy Program by developing and maintaining the auditing/monitoring process and managing compliance reporting requirements. Maintains responsibility for the collection, aggregation and analyses of data/findings for investigations, assessment and reporting in coordination with the organization’s affiliate Privacy Officers, Information Security, and other team members.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred
- Three years’ technical experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC): Preferred
Essential Functions:
- Performs ongoing privacy compliance monitoring activities and investigations. Reports and analyses in coordination with affiliate Privacy Officials, Information Security, and other key stakeholders. Works on problems of moderate to diverse scope requiring some interpretation of policies and guidelines. Applies working knowledge of the techniques, principles, theories and concepts of the discipline, staff, technologies, services, and practices to complete routine and non-routine assignments.
- Assists in administering the process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating and taking action on complaints concerning privacy/security and organizational policies/procedures. Assists with on-the-job skills training of associate analyst level roles. Solves and escalates operational problems and technical issues; modifies existing tools or processes.
- Assists in maintaining organizational compliance with privacy practices. Ensures consistent application of sanctions for failure to comply with privacy policies in cooperation with Compliance, Security, Human Resources and Executive Leadership, as applicable.
- Initiates, facilitates and promotes activities to foster privacy/security awareness within the organization and related entities. Maintains current knowledge of applicable Federal and State privacy laws and accreditation standards, and monitors advancements in information privacy technologies to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance.
