SCHEDULE

Must be able to work flexible hours between 7am – Sunset including weekends and holidays as needed.
Up to 25 hours per week

GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:

Performs intermediate clerical work in the daily operation of the golf course pro shop; does related work as required. Work is performed under regular supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Opens and closes facility;

Checks in golfers according to tee time schedule and collects fees from participants;

Provides golf course information to the public on phone and in person.

RELATED TASKS:

Handles complaints from the public;

Performs related tasks as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

General knowledge of the methods, materials, and practices used in golf course operations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials, employees, course guests, and the general public; ability to keep some records. Skill and ability in the operation of computerized cashier equipment. Schedule: 20 hours per week. Some weekends & holidays required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Strong knowledge of or playing experience in the game of golf preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift and carry articles weighing up to 20 lbs., and push articles weighing up to 50 lbs.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be eligible to receive Paid Leave and to contribute to the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan, a part-time employee must have worked at least 1,040 hours in the prior fiscal year

PAID LEAVE: Employees who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per fiscal year will receive twelve (12) hours of Paid Leave on October 1st. This Paid Leave shall be used no later than September 30th of that fiscal year or it will be forfeited. These hours may not accumulate and may only be granted with the approval of the employee’s supervisor. This paid leave has no cash value at separation of employment.

MISSION SQUARE 457 DEFERRED COMPENSATION PLAN: Employees who work a minimum of 1,040 hours per fiscal year will be allowed to participate in the 457 Deferred Compensation Plan. The City will not provide any matching funds.
