Department Overview:
Finance Operations provides strategic direction and oversight of front-end revenue cycle work processes and outcomes as well as revenue policies and procedures. Finance Operations also provides project leadership and bandwidth for process improvements and a roadmap of related workflow, data and digitization needs within the organization.
What You Will Be Working On:
• Assist in developing and maintaining the Finance Operations project and initiative roadmap.
• Support the Operational Excellence Management Team in the successful planning and implementation of Finance Operations and company technology projects.
• Assist with optimizing Finance Operations processes and identify inefficiencies, work with Finance Operations team members on solutions to maximize productivity.
• Automate repetitive processes and tasks using leading technology (SQL Server, VBA, Power BI, RPA, BPM).
• Assist in training the Finance Operations team on new technology and automations developed.
• Participate in regular meetings with the Center of Excellence (COE) to discuss project management, standards, innovations and key project management objectives and concerns with other representative functional leaders and project leaders.
• Develop Power BI dashboards and analytics to support Finance Operations reporting.
• Track portfolio activity to compile numerous portfolio reports that are used throughout the organization.
• Create ad-hoc SQL queries and reports.
What You Need to Be Successful:
• We are looking for a student currently in their 3rd year in an MIS degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.2 to join our Finance Operations, Operational Excellence team with a focus on Process Improvement and Automation.
• Experience or knowledge of VBA, Excel Macros, BPM workflow solutions, RPA solutions, SQL, Power BI, data analytics, data visualization, and other middleware software solutions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of MS Project, Smartsheet, or other work planning application.
• Critical thinker with the ability to synthesize complex information and conceptualize solutions.
• Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
• Intellectually curious, excellent analytical, critical thinking skills with strong business acumen.
• An adaptive learner that displays excellent judgment and critical thinking skills which enable timely and appropriately risk balanced advice and guidance.
• A team player who displays self-confidence, encourages collaboration, and establishes credibility that earns organizational trust from superiors and peers who can find common ground in solving problems.

• Self-motivation and initiative to organize and prioritize work, performing the job with minimal supervision.
The hourly compensation for this role is in the range of $21.00 – $24.00. Hourly rate determined by the candidate’s skills, experience, knowledge, education, and abilities.
