Position Description:
CGI is looking for a process control developer who can collaborate with our client’s Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and third-party contractors to develop detailed HRS compressor basic process control, diagnostics, and proactive technical monitoring requirements and architecture. The successful candidate will be familiar with practical signal analysis techniques including a variety of methods for transformation of waveforms into the frequency domain such as FFT, DFT, Short Term Fourier Transform and Continuous Wavelet Transforms. The successful candidate will analyze captured data and build algorithms that perform pattern recognition on resulting frequency domain waveforms identifying specific hydrogen compressor event (e.g.: relief valve opens, check valve opens etc.) occurrences in the crankshaft angular domain as well as the occurrence of specific fault event signatures (e.g.: diaphragm cavitation or knock, check valve leakage etc.). The successful candidate will also receive physics based diagnostic algorithms and goals from the engineering and develop comprehensive diagnostic and PTM systems for HRS compressors.
This role is based in Houston, Texas.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
The successful candidate will immediately begin the evaluation of development test data and definition of acoustic emissions based diagnostic algorithms while simultaneously supporting the definition of comprehensive process control system requirements and architecture and the broader diagnostic and monitoring system requirements and architecture.This project has progressed to the stage where sample acoustic, crank angle and thermodynamic data has been captured during development testing.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Experience in System requirements definition and documentation.
• Experience in Process Control System Development.
• Experience in Proactive Technical Monitoring.
• Experience in Software library and configuration management.
• Experience in Remote software troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Experience in Signal Analysis.
• Experience in MATLAB.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 – $181,800.
