Procurement Agent – CONTRACT

• Responsible for planning and purchasing finished goods, raw materials, and/or
tooling using demand flow processes
• Manage and develop supplier relationships
• Place necessary Purchase Orders ensuring all data is accurate and all required
approval signatures are obtained
• Coordinate and conduct business review meetings with key suppliers
• Expedite delivery of orders, follow-up on back orders, and make special
arrangements for deliveries as required to effectively support company build
schedules
• Work with Planning in determining material needs based on production cycles
and customer demand
• Track order acknowledgements, prepare and communicate shortage and backlog
reports, and provide visibility of potential interruptions to internal customers
• Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts; report non-
conformances
• Provide proactive recovery plans for forecast shortfalls and production and
inventory changes
• Manage planning parameters in system and generate/execute annual
improvements in inventory levels
• Responsible for maintaining desired inventory levels for assigned material
• Interface with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to achieve
quality and cost goals
• Arrange for and authorize the return of rejected material to suppliers
• Promote supplier adherence to schedules and execute 1st level crisis
management when needed
• Recommend improvements to the procurement process
• Plan and execute inter-company sales per demand plan
– Perform other related duties as required

Travel specifictity
Expected travel around 10%

Additional description
• Perform duties requiring kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling,
and lifting up to 20 pounds periodically
• Sit for long periods of time while operating office equipment
• Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction,
and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
• Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other
related industrial hazards

Candidate skills & requirements
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent college credit required
• BA/BS degree preferred (Engineering or related technical field preferred)
• Three to five years of experience in a production or materials function, or 7+ years
of experience in Purchasing/Procurement

$66,000 minimum
