The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) group is looking for a Product Data Management Specialist to join our Flight Test and Evaluation team in Edwards AFB, CA; located approximately 100 miles northeast of Los Angeles, CA.
Edwards AFB is the home of the 412th Test Wing and the 2nd largest Air Force base. The wing oversees base day-to-day operations and provides support for over 10,000 military, federal civilian and contract personnel assigned to a 481-square mile installation. The 412th Test Wing plans, conducts, analyzes, and reports on all flight and ground testing of aircraft, weapons systems, software and components as well as modeling and simulation for the U.S. Air Force. There are three core components for this mission: flying operations, maintenance and engineering.
The Boeing Company supports multiple platforms at Edwards AFB. This posting is for the support of the 419th Flight Test Squadron, Bomber Combined Test Force (CTF), which flight tests B-1B, B-52 and B-2 Bombers where Boeing works directly with our Air Force customer and our industry partners supporting its mission to improve the warfighting capabilities of the Air Force through system integration, development, test and evaluation of the B-1B Lancer and B-52 Stratofortress.
The site is comprised of a diverse team of Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) employees who are extremely motivated, skilled, knowledgeable, and highly valued by our customers and business partners.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Product data management specialist.
Position Responsibilities:
- Implement the corporate documentation and configuration management strategy
- Maintain configuration control records. (IE: Test and Inspection records, Serialized component records)
- Perform the closing of test evaluation worksheet, to include scanning and submission to Iron mountain for long term archiving
- Coordinates with Bomber management to maintain test procedure letters
- Perform review of all Test Evaluation worksheets for accuracy in accordance with local procedures
- Researches procedures and regulations to ensure local test procedure letters are current
- Perform validations of controlled documents
- Support the control and issue of stamps
- Support updates, peer reviews, and configuration management activities of specifications, design descriptions, and verification plans
- Coordinate with Bomber team members to maintain compliance with local test procedure letter
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Interim Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in Configuration Management/Data Management
- Experience with Microsoft Excel. (IE: Building charts and graphs; task automation using macros, and manipulation date, time, text and arrays.)
- Experience with procedure development and formatting in Microsoft Word. (IE: Creating, Modifying and filling table, Test and paragraph formatting, create graphs and charts,etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in performing Change Management
- Experience assisting with plans and processes
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: $85,000 – 115,000
