Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a Product Data Management Specialist to join their team in Huntington Beach, CA.

This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) business organization .

A successful candidate will lead the Product Chemical Profile System (PCPS) Data Mining specialist execution to support multiple program critical deliverables. PCPS is an enterprise application used to meet chemical requirements imposed by regulatory agencies and government contracts. PCPS links products to chemical substances by integrating product definition data with product standards and chemical databases. This position will be responsible for overseeing configuration management of material, process and product specification mapping to a provided customer bill of materials. Experience required to provide strategic direction to understand and lead PLM as related to program environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Boeing configuration management principles and engineering drawing/data systems
  • Knowledge of material and process Specifications both internal and external
  • Manage the execution of Data Mining specialist daily activities to support critical program deliverables; interface with multiple organizations and management-levels including chemical Subject-Matter-Experts (SME) and BCA/BDS customers
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Develop Excel templates consisting of VBA scripts to improve team efficiency by performing on-the-fly data validation and user-initiated data cleanup, quality checking, parsing, and compilation.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, analytical, organization and communication skills with emphasis on continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborate and lead cross-organizational and functional teams consisting of resources based in dispersed geographical locations.
  • Customer/Program focus as it relates to quality of PCPS Hazardous Material reports as the delivered product
  • Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with stakeholders, customers, and peers. Highly motivated and adaptive, constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and reduce cycle-time and cost.
  • Demonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable way

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management, Configuration Management and/or Data Management and processing
  • 1+ years’ experience in data analysis and/or data mining

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • AA Degree or Higher

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired
through advanced education (e.g. Associate)
and typically 6 or more years’ related work
experience or an equivalent combination of
education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4
years’ related work experience, 8 years’
related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Typical salary range for Huntington Beach, CA : $107,950 -$146,050
