Contract Position

$58.90-$73.20/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Lead activities to define and document product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management, and engineering processes.
  • Develop, document and implement plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
  • Track and report data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; conducts audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.
  • Develop certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.
  • Lead the development plans, schedules and resource commitments to develop, test and deploy process improvements and changes.
  • Work under minimal direction.
  • Audit government data for the as built configuration of the aircraft and compare to the as designed configuration (Bill of Material).
  • Identify discrepancies and work with both internal and external customers for resolution.
  • Update and maintain desktop instructions and associated command media.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree combined with 6 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with G081, the AF data control system will enhance the candidates ability for selection of the position.
  • Analytical Skills (Technical)
    • Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
  • Configuration/Data Mgmt
    • Knowledge of drawing/data systems (e.g., “”used on”” drawings, part relationships, product data management) and configuration management principles and processes (e.g., part number control, revision level, naming conventions, product identification numbering systems).
  • Engineering Processes
    • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics).
    • Knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).
  • Engr Knowledge/Comprehension
    • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems.
    • The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
  • Systems Thinking
    • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
    • Ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
  • Well organized, a self-starter, with an eye for continuous improvement.
