The Role

The Viva team is looking for a Product Designer II who can define, articulate, and deliver amazing design solutions. You will be responsible for deep customer understandingthrough users’ needs,emotions,and behaviors to gather insights that inform our experience design strategy.You will demonstratesolid UX skills and interaction patterns while creating forward-thinking designs that are scenario driven and meet business goals. You will need to be able to communicate your ideas using a wide variety of methods-from providing sketches,to creating fully rendered designs.You will work closelywith researchers,PMs,and developersas well as other design teams and apppartners tometiculouslyexecute ideas into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver world-class interaction designs from initial concept through finished product
  • Create and assess design solutions based on user research input , user goals, and business requirements
  • Work closely and constructively with product management, visual and interaction designers, editors, engineers, and user researchers to iterate and deliver flawlessly
  • Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals
  • Ability to travel for work occasionally

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interactive Design, Visual Design, Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, or related field AND 3+ years of experience working in interactive design and/or visual design
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., experience using design thinking to solve problems)
  • 3+ years of experience with Adobe Creative Suite software and UX design tools, preferably Figma
  • 3+ years of creating highly polished design prototypes, mockups, and/or other communication artifacts
  • A portfolio demonstrating well-thought-through and polished end-to-end customer journeys

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Awareness of trends in mobile, communications, and collaboration
  • Knowledge in designing user experiences for enterprise and personal software and services
  • Ability to create and apply established design principles and interaction patterns
  • Experience aligning or influencing design thinking with teams working in other geographies

Product Design IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 – $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 – $198,600 per year.
