Product Intern

Overview

This is an internship role within an innovative and fast-paced UX team dedicated to the PowerSchool mission of helping educators and students realize their full potential.

You will work with the UX team, and your partners in Product Management and Engineering to plan, coordinate and deliver outstanding products that help students learn, enable families, educators, and administrators to support them throughout the education journey.

We are looking for a highly organized intern who can dig in and help us translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts and transform them into engaging and creative content to connect users to the product or service.

This will be a 9 week paid internship beginning on June 20, 2023 and concluding on August 18, 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Connects users’ knowledge and experience with interactive products. Demonstrates knowledge of one user for primary product.
  • Applies writing standards and process in everyday work and works with other writers to ensure compliance. Learns and understands accessibility standards for writing.
  • Works within established process and in a timely manner. Maintains professionalism.
  • Demonstrates ability to consume minimal directions and solve problems.
  • Helps execute the content vision to create a unified voice across our products and platforms.
  • Builds healthy relationships with team to allow knowledge sharing, learning, and facilitating equitable conflict resolution.
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills, whether in one-on-one or group situations.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to multi-task and navigate quickly between applications.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • String written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidentiality in handling sensitive information a must!
  • Experience writing for educational audiences a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

A reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position is $20.00/hr (undergraduate level) – $25.00/hr (masters/graduate level). The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
