Position Overview:
Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for Product Line Management (PLM) team members to join the USAF E-7A team located in Seattle. The selected candidates will join a team of PLM professionals performing a variety of PLM functions. The ideal candidates will have experience / practice in any of the following areas: managing hardware and software configuration baselines, change processing, data releases/control, Item Unique Identification (IUID) markings, and data analysis/processing.
Position Responsibilities:
- Processes change packages in compliance with command media
- Provides Software Configuration Management functions in accordance with command media
- Assesses requirements and application of IUID markings
- Processes supplier data, verifies compliance with contract requirements, and distributes to program teams
- Processes data requirements for delivery to USAF
- Works with databases, tools, and systems to extract/process data for reporting, configuration accounting, marking overlays,
- Works directly with the USAF Configuration and Data Management manager.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
- 1+ years of experience in data management and/or configuration management and processing
- Experience with data management tools such as Customer and Supplier Data Transmittal (CSDT)
- 1+ years of experience with Data Fluency and Management, including data architecture, mapping, and transformation modeling?
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
- PLM experience on US military program
- Experience working with engineering teams
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2): Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Mid-Level (Level 3): Bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for associate level: $79,050 – 106,950
Summary pay range for mid-level: $96,050 – 129,950
