Product Line Management Intern

Group Description & Team Responsibilities:

  • Product Business line: MX Multiservice high end router product, for Service Provider, Cloud Provider and Large Enterprise customer use cases
  • Discipline:
    • Product Management, Classical Life-cycle Product Management, working with engineering, marketing, manufacturing, sales, operations.
    • Product definition
    • Outbound product management and go-to-market activity (working with field marketing, account managers, systems engineers, customers, partners, sales operations)
    • Business Management; pricing, business planning

What the intern will do:

  • Assist with product management activities for products within Junipers High end router product line. Traditional “cradle to grave” product life cycle management.
  • Assist in prioritizing and negotiating technical feature definitions (product requirements), use case definitions and minimal viable product definition with cross functional product team including
  • Research market requirements
  • Perform business case development, (financial modeling, pricing, forecasting)
  • Assist in managing Customer escalations
  • Participates with other product and marketing managers to establish strategic plans and objectives and to insure “go to market” strategies are developed, communicated, and executed
  • Analyze market and competitive trends
  • Analyze technology trends and customer inputs: ensure that product feature set reflects technology/industry trends
  • Work with Junos release managers to ensure features are properly scheduled into software release cycles

Must-have skills for this role:

  • Engineering experience (Development, test or customers engineering)
  • Fundamental knowledge of telecommunications networking, security firewall or hyperconverged computing
  • Excel Skills
  • Basic financial skills
  • Solid Communications skills

Nice-to-have skills:

  • 2+ years in engineering
  • Studying towards an MBA or equivalent

Minimum Salary: $61,875.00

Maximum Salary:$94,875.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $61,875.00 and $94,875.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
