The Opportunity:
The Product Management Coordinator will support the Senior Director, Product Management and the Product Management team. This position will develop, implement, and coordinate within the team to support Bills of Materials (BOMs), Technical Support, Product Back-End, and Product Lifecycle. The Product Management Coordinator will interface with other departments including but not limited to Engineering, Sales, Training, Marketing, Account Management, Quotes, and Customer Service to resolve client issues and follow through on customer requests.
This role will manage the product details for internal and external needs. The Product Management Coordinator will coordinate the updating of marketing materials, new product resources, price guides, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), back-end data management and organization, sales program needs, and maintaining the Product Information Management tool.
Challenge Yourself – The Specifics:
- Organize and maintain new, current, and end of life (EOL) product data with guidance from Director, Product Management
- Manage internal PIM (Product Information Management) tool that is used interdepartmentally
- Maintain product information within the corporate Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure information is accurate and current
- Manage internal part transition and EOL (End of life) documents
- Create, develop, and maintain EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) relationships and other data information
- Measure impact of any changes on customers and provides reports of recommendations
- Provide recommendations, i.e., revenue potential, pricing, product improvements, etc.
- Execute on activities related to new product development and enhancements
- Project manages key work streams related to product launches to ensure smooth processes
- Create and organize departmental communications, information, and presentations
- Create and maintain stock and flow resource materials
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials in ERP system, including manufacturing conversions and bundles
- Create and maintain Product Kits
- Work with Sales on specific Program Needs
- Actively monitor the Tech Support Channel and provide answers and assistance as needed
- Act as an internal lighting expert to answer related questions and provide viable solutions
- Draft and maintain product-related documentation to effectively communicate improvements, advantages, results and efficiencies achieved through our products
- Escalate issues through appropriate channels
- Create and maintain standard and customized price guides
- Handle escalation requests from Sales Reps and customers
General Knowledge:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field and/or
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience and cross-functional coordination activities required, or equivalent combination of training and experience within the relevant industry
