Summary: The role of Product Analyst is critical for the support of the Health Benefits Product Management team. Product and Innovation drives Health Benefits market share growth and value creation by working across the organization to lead tactical efforts to enhance Health Benefits’ existing products and services. Through the understanding of Health Benefits’ Product portfolio and vended solutions, the Product Analyst will identify, evaluate and develop issue resolution strategies and coordinate efforts for specific new and existing products and services as assigned within the Product Management team. The Product Analyst role requires strong critical and analytical thinking skills as well as time management and organizational skills and to have a self-starter independent contributor skill set to support the division. This position is important to maintaining the growth and profitability of Health Benefits existing product portfolio and must be able to assist with research, advise and execute viable solutions on Product issues, consult with, and communicate to employees of all levels of the division on Product related topics.

Responsibilities:

Assist with client set-ups, terminations and changes, following the established processes preset by Health Benefits and applicable vendor(s). Work to establish automated vendor processes and foster collaboration to adhere to existing processes.

Make updates to guides and resources to reflect changes to applicable Product(s). Included, but not limited to change of Client Manager for client, contact, and report distribution changes.

Marketing content:

  • Review of marketing toolkit content for applicable updates when changes/enhancements occur
  • Review of disclaimers and/or Demo site when changes/enhancements occur

Vendor Validation:

  • Review of active client list against sales force to ensure accuracy of vendor records
  • HCBB taxation validations
  • Client set-ups and/or terminations not sent thru proper channels that impact vendor active client rosters.
  • Alignment of client products in force listed in Sales Force, data lake, Beyond Insights, and other applicable systems of record

Review and update product content across resources to reflect product changes or enhancement

  • Review of proposal content for RFPs and BRS content
  • Work with Product Manager to ensure content provided to Training team is accurate and/or updated when product changes occur

Gather information and materials to be used for market intelligence and competitive analysis.

Assist with product trend analysis and bring awareness to performance shifts or gaps

Other duties as needed/assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Do you have a Bachelors’ Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience?
  • 2 – 5 years of relevant product analyst experience
  • 2 – 5 years of relevant vendor management experience
  • Strong analytical skills, including use of data and analytics tools (MS Excel, MS Access, Tableau) to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions and then provide recommendations
  • Strong process improvement skills pertaining to management and measuring of products and solutions
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships
  • Superior written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to interact and collaborate with all levels of associates in the organization
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as a high degree of creativity, flexibility and self-direction
  • Resourceful in the ability to identify and obtain new sources of information
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate and manage projects in a deadline-sensitive environment.
  • Health care payer /TPA industry background a plus

The compensation range for this full-time Product Analyst position is between $40,392.00 and $75,845.00. The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.
