Job Description
As a Product Owner/Manager on the Mitchell Connect Platform you will lead the development of software-products and services that are known for their robust innovative capabilities and ease of use. In the product owner role, you will have direct responsibility for one of our development teams where you will provide overall program management, define requirements, author user stories and acceptance criteria, convey release timelines, notes, goals, and approve developed functionality. In the product manager role, you will also own features that have cross functional impact with other teams in Mitchell Connect as well as other products in our solution stack. You must have the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of business leaders and technologists both internal and external; with high frequency engagement with other product managers, experience designers, tech leads and engineers, architects and customer success reps.
You will additionally collaborate from time-to-time with marketing teams, sales personnel, and Mitchell customers to identify new software solutions. You will work with sales engineers and service teams to communicate and train on new features and business processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in an Agile development environment as a member of a Scrum Team.
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
- Develop and maintain a backlog for your dev teams domain
- Gather business requirements for your domain area.
- Conduct customer, market, and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and unmet user needs.
- Develop User Stories with Acceptance Criteria, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, UI Wireframes, Class Diagrams, Business Rules, and Rule Flow Diagrams.
- Prioritize and order functionality based on business value.
- Do whatever else it takes to make your solution successful with a strong sense of accountability.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- A bachelor degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in product management, or related field.
- Familiarity with TFS/ADO Boards is a plus
- Ability to adapt proactively to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
- Desire to excel in a fast-paced, cross-functional, team-based environment.
- Work, or internship of extra-curricular experience where you were able to build and demonstrate the following:
- Leadership, persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Ability to form trusting relationships with teammates and customers from diverse backgrounds.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Project management, prioritization and time management skills.
- Written communication and presentation skills.
- Agile software development methodology experience is a plus.
- Market research and identifying business development opportunities is a plus.
- Technical software/programming skills is a plus.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $28.05 – $40.18 hourlyand will be based on a number ofadditional factors, including skills, experience, and education.
