We are looking for a Product Manager to support all marketing aspects for ART marketing business for our Medical Business Unit.

External US

Oversees all marketing aspects of the marketing business and supports the Marketing Manager with strategic and tactical assignments as needed.

  • This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external personnel and will require direct customer communication, public presentation, and a team-focused approach.
  • Strong business and customer focus are essential.
  • Supports assigned product line(s).
  • Effectiveness in this role requires the ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing Irvine Scientific’s product development and marketing plans, and a strong knowledge of the target market, market expectations, and requirements for developing, promoting and selling products to such market.
  • This person will develop and manage a portfolio of on-market and new products.
  • Work encompasses the broad range of activities required to plan, promote, and execute a sound sales and marketing campaigns to achieve forecasted sales in product portfolio assigned.
  • Will provide leadership and execution for products across the product line for Irvine Scientific.
  • Serves as the internal expert for the product lines and provide strategic guidance and direction for the positioning of Fujifilm Irvine Scientific.
  • Responsibilities include developing marketing plans and market research, leading new product development teams, managing inventory, pricing, customer communications and revenue forecasts.

Responsibilities:

  • Recommending product modifications or improvements based on market research, sales personnel and market feedback, process improvement and customer input.
  • Must have excellent communication skills including oral, written and presentation techniques.
  • Tracking and analyzing product sales and trends, making recommendations on path forward to grow business and meeting business objectives.
  • Creating, executing and tracking launch campaigns for new products.
  • Creates materials for sales training and sales meetings. Carries out assigned new product training; performs training in conjunction with R & D as appropriate for new staff, distributors, etc.
  • Carries out new product launch activities in assigned product areas (e.g., forecasting, press releases, direct mail, sales force and distributor training and related activities).
  • Gathers competitive intelligence as assigned; implements tactics to build competitive barriers.
  • Must have proven ability to build relationships and guide teams which include representatives from multiple functional areas, including R&D, Sales, Program Management, and Manufacturing.
  • Gather competitive information and evaluate against FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific’s products.
  • Providing technical support via email, telephone and customer visits.
  • Supporting the Senior Product Manager as required.
  • Implements assigned tactics for assigned product areas (e.g., direct mail, advertising, trade shows, and related activities).
  • Assists in the development of product forecasting- planning, products to assure timely response to marketplace demands.
  • Facilitates the day-to-day management of business initiatives in the appropriate markets.
  • Marketing of product line to assure that business objectives are met.
  • Formulating and recommending product pricing, including published price list, custom pricing, special customer pricing and distributor pricing.
  • Travels and represents FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific at tradeshows and customer sites.
  • Promoting and cultivating relationships with industry leaders and key customers through support. activities, membership in appropriate organizations, and advisory board panels.
  • Analyzes sales and profit performance of assigned product areas, assesses effects of promotions and provides reports to management. Based on such analyses, recommends enhancements to promotional efforts.
  • Must be able to manage project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Must have experience in managing multiple stakeholders and resolving conflict within teams.
  • Responsible for maintenance and growth of gross profit for the Product Lines.
  • Develops new creative marketing programs, strategies and tactics to ensure that all sales channels are maximizing opportunities to position product lines to achieve business objective.
  • Forecasts product volumes to be manufactured.
  • Creating marketing and promotional plans and sales tools to drive top line.
  • Conceiving and developing marketing collateral.
  • Manage supply, demand, revenue, margin and pricing for product portfolio, update and present forecasts regularly to management, finance, and manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements and competitive strategy, and identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation.
  • Oversees all product line activities to assure that current and potential customers receive the highest quality products and the best service possible.
  • Oversees development of new products, including market surveys, sales forecasting, and field test evaluations. Interfaces with consultants on new products.
  • Conceives and develops marketing plan.
  • Maintain regular communication and contact with field sales personnel, advertising agencies, P.R. agencies, professional organizations and customers to keep abreast of marketing trends and evaluate effectiveness of marketing business activities.
  • Maintain a current and complete understanding of the assigned markets and assess trends/dynamics of the segments to proactively position FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific.
  • Ensure that marketing plans are understood by the sales force and distributors to result in successful implementation of programs.

Required Skills / Education:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a position in a marketing and sales environment for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or related industry, and/or 5+ years of working in the ART industry.
  • Technical background and/or marketing experience appropriate to the specific needs of the product line (see Desired Skills)
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

For California, the base salary range for this position is $83,375 to $133,400 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
