Boeing Defense & Space (BDS) is currently looking for a Software Configuration Management Specialist to join the Product Life Cycle Management team located in El-Segundo, California.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in Configuration Management and familiarity to establish program baseline, support Engineering Change Control, maintain databases and perform audits.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with activities to identify and document product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and management and engineering processes.
  • Assists with plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
  • Supports the monitoring of adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; assists with audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience do you have? (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • One to Three years of experience in Change Control.
  • One to Three years Hardware or Software Configuration experience.

Typical Education:

Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years’ related work experience, 5 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years’ related work experience, 8 years’ related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for associate level: $68,000 – $92,000

Summary pay range for experienced level: $85,000 – $115,000

Summary pay range for senior level: $107,950 – $146,050

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
