The Product Manager – Business Intelligence will join a new team that will be responsible for building, maintaining, and executing against various technology backlogs in order to improve both internal and external customer experiences. As the owner of our analytics platform, the product manager will lead the product development of a Business Intelligence system that powers the company’s data-driven decision-making processes. It will act as the primary liaison between the business stakeholders and the development teams, communicate the product vision and features to the development team, prioritize features in the product backlog to maximize business value, and ensure that the developed product meets the stakeholders’ needs. The ideal candidate will be able to blend strategy and technical skills to deliver timely and forward-thinking insights to our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meets with business stakeholders to gather requirements for data ingestion (tables in the data warehouse), new KPIs, dashboards, small data-entry applications, data science models, and documentation. Makes judgment calls related to when to involve team leads or specific engineers in stakeholder discussions.
- Works with senior leaders of our Value Based Care, Management Services Organization, and Clinical Research departments to develop initiative roadmaps and manage the backlog.
- Develops and adapts the product vision, writes users stories, and specifies acceptance criteria for each user story.
- Prioritizes the backlog, clearly expressing the backlog items, ordering the items to best achieve goals and optimizing the value of the work the team performs.
- Creates a communication strategy to stakeholders and other data teams at Panoramic Health, such that we’re always providing active/timely communication on deployments, deadlines, and delays.
- Collaborates with scrum team and participates in scrum ceremonies including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Defines KPIs for the Business Intelligence product and delivers updates to VP, Technology Products and other key stakeholders as to specific benchmarks and areas for improvement.
- Takes initiative to solve problems within the purview of a product manager. Acts as a highly experienced product manager who doesn’t need to be given specific tasks but collaborates with leadership with additional direction is required. Exemplifies leadership by communicating and addressing areas for improvement.
- Understands when to say “yes”, “no”, and “not right now” to stakeholders, leadership, and engineers. It’s important that our engineering teams strategically dedicate their time to the right tasks/initiatives rather than saying “yes” to every request.
- Understands and balances the need for new development with the need for tech debt remediation.

Functional and Technical Competencies
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root cause of issue and provides business solutions.
- Basic proficiency in SQL and Tableau
- Knowledge of product management best practices and application delivery methodologies
- Possess excellent interpersonal, business communication and writing skills
- Ability to learn, navigate, and influence both functional and technical elements of our technologies
- Possess excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Education/Training and Certification, Licensure, Registration Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or related field.
Experience
- 3 – 5 years of experience as a Product Manager or Sr Business Analyst in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics domain
- Prior experience in health care industry in an analytics or business intelligence function.
Environment and/or Physical Factors
- Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15 pounds unassisted.
- Extensive telephone and computer usage.
- Use of computer mouse requires repetitive hand and wrist motion.

ACTION ITEM: This role has a salary range of $122,265 – $139,355 and regular, full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid time off (PTO).
