US Prime is seeking an experienced and self-motivated product manager to own and drive customer insight development to enable growth in the size and engagement of our membership base.
As the Sr. PM US Prime Customer Insights, you will be responsible for working with product and marketing managers to develop, own and execute a roadmap for customer insight development. You will develop actionable insights that can unlock growth in the size and engagement of our Prime membership base in the US. You will be responsible for developing an annual plan that prioritizes the most critical research initiatives to unlock growth and inform the development of CX, product roadmaps and features, marketing campaigns, third-party partnerships, and benefit development. You will work with partners across Global Insights and Corporate Benchmarking to develop quantitative and qualitative studies that that dive deep into the needs and barriers of current and future Prime members in the US. You will plan and execute end-to-end research studies and analyses to garner insights on customer segments, including: scoping, designing methodology, collecting and analyzing data, and presenting key findings and recommendations to business stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying, onboarding, and managing insights agencies that can supplement internal resources with real-time and actionable customer insights.
This role will have regular interaction with senior leadership across several business units including North America Retail, Global Cross-Category and Cross-Channel Marketing, Prime Video, and other key Prime benefit partners across Amazon. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience in developing actionable customer insights that inform strategy and deliver business impact. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated the ability to develop quantitative and qualitative customer research, prioritize research roadmaps, develop actionable insights based on research, and develop mechanisms to integrate research into business strategy and operations. This role requires a self-starter with the ability to support and drive decision making in a rapidly evolving environment, and the ability to manage multiple projects across several stakeholders effectively. The ideal candidate will be passionate about your work and see the strategic big-picture, yet be detail-oriented and be organized.
Key job responsibilities
• Develop and drive a roadmap for US Prime Customer Insights
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop, drive and deliver research deliverables with actionable insights that drive US Prime business strategy and growth in the size and engagement of our membership base.
• Identify critical customer research initiatives or capabilities that cannot be addressed with internal resources. Identify, onboard, and manage agencies to deliver these initiatives and capabilities.
• Develop new metrics for measuring, monitoring and driving the health of our Prime membership program in the US.
• Develop evergreen reporting and mechanisms on customer insights to support business strategy, decision making, product roadmaps and marketing campaigns. – Be the single point of contact on all US Prime Customer Insights Development with product managers, marketers, benefit partners, and research stakeholders working on US Prime.
A day in the life
On average day, you will:
• Develop, refine and manage the customer insights roadmap for US Prime.
• Work with internal stakeholders and agencies to provide briefs and feedback on ongoing customer insights initiatives, and ensure we are tracking to deliver on time.
• Lead mechanisms that ensure we are ingesting the right customer insights and effectively applying them to our business strategy, product roadmaps, product features, marketing campaigns, and benefit development.
• Present findings from research to the most senior leadership of the company with actionable recommendations on how the insights should impact our business strategy and priorities.
About the team
This role will sit on the leadership team of US Prime, and report to the Director of US Prime. The US Prime team is responsible for driving growth in the size and engagement of the Prime membership base in the US. As Prime membership is driven by organization across Amazon, the team is responsible for working across stakeholders to ensure we are working against a common strategy that will maximize Prime outcomes. Your peers on the leadership team will be the leaders of US Prime Business Performance and Analytics, Product Development, Go-to-Market Plans, Partnership and Benefit Develop, and Content Testing. Your key partners outside of US Prime will be North America Stores Marketing and Creative, US Marketing Technical Product Development, WW Prime Product Development, WW Cross-Category and Cross-Channel Marketing, Corporate Benchmarking, and benefit like Prime Video.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 10+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
– 10+ years of blending product and program management skills to execute strategic initiatives about process creation, standardization, and improvement experience
– Bachelor’s degree
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
– Experience with end to end product delivery
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience as a product manager or owner
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience owning technology products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market.
