Description
Being the Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness, you will provide overall administration, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Behavioral Health Program for adults, children, and youth that have experienced domestic and sexual violence at all Survivor Empowerment HUB locations including the Flagship campus.
Your Schedule:
- Full Time
- Monday – Friday from 9am-6pm (on-call and weekends as needed- flexibility required)
- Work Model: Hybrid
- Local Travel:25%
Our Total Compensation Package:
- Starting Pay Rate: $100,000 annually
- Pay schedule bi-monthly

Qualifications
The Requirements We are Seeking:
- You have at minimum a Master’s Degree in mental health (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology).
- You are licensed by the State of Texas and in good standing: LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with vulnerable and diverse adult and youth populations that are trauma survivors and providing counseling and crisis intervention.
- You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, with supervision of direct reports.
- You have intermediate proficiency within Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access).
- It is preferred that you are bilingual in both English and Spanish
What you Deliver in this role:
- You evaluate and oversee focus and strategic direction of behavioral health & wellbeing services and all HAWC locations. and make recommendations to the Chief Program Officer.
- You provide education and training internally and externally and develop training opportunities for staff in collaboration with the training team.
- You cultivate existing relationships with strategic partners, including all HUB locations with the goals of ensuring access to services and resources.
- You are responsible for the hiring, onboarding, supervision and termination of Behavioral Health & Wellbeing staff, volunteers, and interns.
- You actively engage in budgeting process and manage and monitor behavioral health budget to help expend all government funds allocated to Behavioral Health & Wellbeing Program.
- You actively participate in HAWC’s government grants using MOCHA. Serve as owner in program grants by monitoring outputs, outcomes, and expenditures.
- You assure provision of quality, safe and confidential services to clients by working in partnership with the quality assurance and compliance by helping develop and evaluate outcomes, outputs, and client satisfaction.
- You develop and implement a system that will ensure annual employee appraisals are completed in a timely manner.
- You provide education and training internally and externally as needed. Provide direct services to clients as needed.
- You report suspected child abuse and neglect to DPRS.
